Scripta Classica

"Scripta Classica" is a serial publication for the academic authors representing various fields connected to Antique literature and culture but also for scholars dealing with reception of Antiquity in Neo-Latin and Byzantine literature as well as in later epochs up until contemporary times. The yearbook also publishes Polish renderings of texts previously not translated and unpublished in our country. The journal was founded in 2004  in the Department of Classical Philology, University of Silesia in Katowice, by Professor Tadeusz Aleksandrowicz  and Dr hab. Tomasz Sapota. The journal is published in the Series “Classical Philology” and its target audience are classical philologists, literary scholars, linguists, philosophers, historians, theologians, religious studies scholars, and all the readers interested in Antiquity and its tradition.
