Index Plus decided

The application submitted by the Centre for Innovations, Technology Transfer and Development, University of Silesia Foundation  (CITTRFUŚ), prepared in co-operation with our Press, has been approved by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Out of 357 applications submitted altogether, 88 have been qualified to receive funding as a part of Index Plus Program. The value of granted financial resources is 200,000 PLN. The aim of Index Plus Program is among others to give an international character to academic journals published inside the country.

16th annual Book Fair in Krakow

From 25 to 28 October the 16th edition of the Book Fair will be held in Krakow. As every year, University of Silesia Press is going to take part in the exhibition. The visitors will be able to buy the new as well as previously published titles from our bookstall, and moreover, the chosen publications will be available for purchasing at low-cost prices. We would also like to offer you three Book Fair invitations to get for free. All you have to do is send us an e-mail containing your opinion on the University of Silesia Press new Internet website.

New anthology

Under our Press imprint we have recently published an anthology Kroatywni. Dramat chorwacki po 1990 roku (‘The Croatives. Croatian drama after the year 1990’), edited by Katarzyna Majdzik, Leszek Małczak and Anna Ruttar. This over 600-pages-long publication contains 11 dramatic pieces by authors representing the young and the middle generation. The anthology is the first such a large-scale translational project focused on Croatian drama.

ŚBC is joined into the country-wide digital library network, thanks to which by using it you gain access to the publications available in any local digital library.
